Hey! It’s Mew!
So for the past couple of months now I’ve really been obsessing over this amazing app called Depop. If you’ve never heard of it before, it’s basically a huge online thrift store where you can buy and sell anything and everything you want.
By creating your own account, you’re pretty much opening your own online shop where other people around the world can purchase the items you post while you shop from them too.
If you’re into vintage fashion especially, I really think you’ll love this. Scrolling through the thousands of interesting items that people all over the world are selling is a lot of fun, plus you never know what you might find!
I’ve sold some things myself through the app over the past while and I have to say, it’s an amazing feeling knowing that somebody liked your own pre-loved pieces of clothing and accessories enough not only just to buy it but also to wear it! And it’s really heartwarming to know that the clothing that would otherwise be going into landfill is now being cherished by somebody new.
Recently, I bought some amazing things through the app that I can’t wait to show you! So without further ado let’s begin with the haul!
How adorable is this little lace dress, originally from Topshop? I just love the elaborate detailing, how delicate the colours are, and of course, the flattering peter pan collar. Even though this dress is a little oversized on me, I still love the loose fit, especially when I style it with a high-waisted belt!
This next coat is the same one I wore in yesterday’s outfit post. Being a petite girl, it’s really rare that I find a coat that fits me as well as this one. I love how cute, yet stylish the polka dots are. The hem poofs out a little which I think is really elegant, plus it too has a cute little peter pan collar! -Something that is always a nice touch in my mind.
I already posted a picture of this dress to my instagram this week, but ever since this dress arrived in the post, I’ve literally been wearing it everywhere I go. I love how ornate the lace detailing is and how the goldie-beige colour goes with just about anything in my wardrobe. The hem is so puffy and fun to twirl around in and it’s also so so comfy as well.
It’s really no secret that Marzia is one of my favourite youtubers and bloggers ever, but she’s also one of my favourite fashion designers as well. So of course you can imagine my delight when I typed her name into the search bar to find that somebody was selling the coat from her first collection in exactly my size!
It’s amazing how new the coat feels. It’s so crisp and white, as if it was never really worn before.
The material is this amazing type of light scuba fabric and it feels so wonderfully soft and comfortable. It’s an absolute dream to wear! I really can’t wait for the weather to get a little warmer so I can wear it out more often. Plus, the ruffle hem has so much movement in it that twirling around in it is amazing!
I also thought I’d mention that I got my Rilakkuma plushies on depop! So many sellers have them in their original new condition and for much cheaper than usual as well. These bears are so cuddly, plus they make amazing gifts for your friends, as well as lovely soft furnishings for your room.
So these were all of the things I got this week on depop. The main reason why I made this haul was to show you just how amazing the app is. You can really find some lovely things on it.
If you want, you can check out my store here. I’m currently selling some really cool vintage coats and lace dresses. ^_^ If any of you have your own depop shop, I’d love to check it out in the comments below!
So that’s all from me for now, thank you so much for reading and I’ll see you very soon in my next post. ❤
