I’m back with a haul!
Hey everyone! It’s Mew. I really hope that you’re all having a really happy New Year so far and that 2017 is being good to you.
Lately I’ve been on a sort of blogging hiatus and spending a lot of time catching up with friends, family and of course some shopping in the sales!
One of my favourite things about the new year is not only looking forward to seasons ahead, but also to the exciting new trends that they’ll bring along with them! That said though, I always have so much fun reflecting on my favourite trends of the past year and scouring the sale rails and seeking out staple pieces that I can bring along with me into the coming year.
As you can probably guess from the title, I got a little over excited when I set foot in TopShop earlier this week so I decided to put together this haul for you. Are you ready? Let’s start!
Yes, I bought an embarrassing amount of wrap dresses this year, but for some reason everything about them is just so comfortable, so form fitting and so flattering. I really can’t stress enough the wonders a wrap dress can do for your shape. Every time I wear one of these, it’s literally a serious confidence boost to my height and to my figure.
I’m really hoping that there will be more of these as a trend for S/S 2017 because they’re just so trans-seasonal and above all versatile. I love styling these closed as a dress or open as a cardigan to show the rest of my outfit underneath.
You may already be familiar with the metallic dresses I’ve just shown you but that’s only because I bought them again as soon as they went into sale! I loved them that much and got so much wear out of them that I just couldn’t leave them behind when I saw them for half price.
I love the Bowie-esque vibes that the star prints and metallics give off. It’s hard not to feel amazing when your outfit makes you think of a glittery rock star.
Petite Blue Cropped Sweater
I love how stylish a cropped sweater can look when paired with a high waist. Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of fresh and breezy blue and green shades for spring which made me really excited to think of the looks I could come up with for this adorable little jumper. The material is such good quality and the knitted fabric is so soft and warm. Perfect for the cold spring! And it was only €20 too.
Now onto shoes! It was love at first sight for me with these glittery shoes. I was really amazed and how cheap they were too. The gold pair were only about €15 and the boots were €25 I think, which is pretty good value for how comfy they are.
Loafers have been everywhere this past year thanks to gucci. I’m really happy that I now own a pair. I think they make a really adorable little addition to any outfit!
Twinkling Cold Shoulder Dress
I really regret that I didn’t have this dress for NYE because it’s just so perfect for any party. The cold shoulder detail is super edgy in my opinion and the a-line cut is really slimming. Once again I bought this because it was glittery and I just love how brightly it shines. I’m really excited for the next party or event I go to just so I can wear it out! Again this dress had such a great reduction and was only like €26!
