Reinventing my Skincare Regime
Hey! It’s Mew.
Today a huge parcel, full of Korean beauty products arrived from yesstyle.com and I was just so excited about the products inside, I couldn’t wait to unbox it and check it out with you guys.
Now to be fair, when I say Korean Beauty, I mean to say that I bought mainly from the brand Etude House. I’ve tried a few of their products in the past and loved them, plus they’re a brand you always hear such great things about! In this haul I have plenty of Etude House products to show you, as well as some products from other Korean brands that I think you’ll love.
Because I am now twenty years old, I really feel like it’s high time I started looking after my skin a bit better and even starting my anti-aging regime while I’m at it. And yes, I know this sounds utterly absurd to some people but an ounce of prevent is worth a pound of cure after all. So why not look after our skin now while it’s good instead of paying for it later?
Taking all of this into account was exactly the reason why I opted for a selection of products in the Etude House Moistfull Collagen range. It treats dry skin with a wealth of hydration while all at the same time infusing it with collagen for younger, bouncier and more radiant skin.
This Skin Care Set is a great kit to use morning and night. Inside is a small and large bottle of toner and emulsion (which is effectively a collagen-rich moisturiser) as well as a small tub of collagen cream which works well when applied after the emulsion. So far, applying these morning and night has left my skin feeling really refreshed and nourished. I’m pretty impressed, not going to lie!
The next thing I wanted to show you in the collagen range is the sleeping pack. This is a moisturising mask that you leave on overnight. If you plan on getting anything from this range I would definitely recommend this treatment. Using it literally makes your skin feel like it has been pumped with water. It’s so gentle and hydrating and works really well for tightening the skin.
Of course I had to opt for an eye cream as well because caring for that area as you grow older is just so important. We apparently don’t have a functioning oil gland under our eyes, so to prevent fine lines and wrinkles, a decent eye cream is essential. This one has a really interesting consistency. The formula at first feels a lot like a jelly rather than a cream. Could this be because of the collagen? I think maybe!
I also got a foundation from Etude House, which I was really excited about, but unfortunately I ordered the wrong colour and it’s much too dark for my winter shut-in, ultra-pale Irish face. That said though, it does glide onto my hand very smoothly and gives great coverage. I’m just sorry I didn’t get it in the right shade.
If there’s one thing I love about Etude House, it’s how cute their packaging is, especially on their masks. This one if for ironing out laugh lines at either side of your nose, while the pink one is another vitamin and collagen mask that you apply under your eyes to erase dark circles and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
I was really excited to receive this set of makeup brushes from the brand ZOREYA. The whole set was really inexpensive considering how much was in it. The brushes are so soft and I was really impressed with the quality. My favourites are the foundation and powder brushes. The application is so smooth and non-streaky which really shocked me for how cheap this set was.
The final thing that I got is kind of weird. It’s this facial roller which is used to massage your cheeks and tone your facial muscles to help achieve a slimmer jaw-line. I definitely haven’t been using it enough to see any results yet, but we’ll see how things progress as time goes on!
So these were all of the beauty products in the haul. As usual links to everything (via yesstyle.com) are embedded in the text above. This is by no means a sponsored post by the way. I just really liked these products and wanted to share them with you.
Have you guys ever tried out any beauty products or makeup from Korea? In Ireland at the moment they haven’t really been making waves yet but they seem to be getting a lot of attention in the UK!
That’s all from me for now. Thank you guys so much for reading and I’ll see you very soon in my next post.
BE HAPPY ♥ BE HAPPY
