Sephora Essentials: Back to School Beauty

My Current Must-Haves

me

Hey everyone! I’m finally back in Paris after my trip to Portugal and back to the grind again. Now that summer is drawing to a close I can’t help but wish these long days of freedom could just last forever. I’ve been having a hard time accepting that the back to school season has already started up for so many of you and next week it will finally be my turn to take up my studies again too. That being said though, I’ve been having a lot of fun doing some last minute back to school shopping, especially where beauty is concerned. Today I thought I’d share my top beauty picks from Sephora with you guys. While most of them fall into the category of Korean skincare (surprise, surprise) I did throw a few makeup favourites in there too! Let’s start.

Tony Moly I’m Real Sheet Masks

I have such a thing for sheet masks, especially when I’m in a hurry because they are just so quick and easy to use. Lately I have been particularly obsessed with the I’m Real Sheet Mask range by Tony Moly. Personally I adore everything about these masks, especially the tomato and seaweed one. There’s so many masks to try in this range and when I saw the ginseng and pearl infused masks, I couldn’t wait to give them a go.

Tony Moly I’m Ginseng Elasticity Sheet Mask

beauty10

I had never used ginseng on my skin before trying out this mask. Now that I think about it, I honestly don’t know how I missed the boat on this magic ingredient. Not only does ginseng work as a powerful anti-ageing ingredient, it also helps inject collagen into the skin which in turn has a firming effect that wards off signs of ageing such as fine lines and wrinkles. The promise of this mask is that it boosts elasticity in the skin and I love how bouncy and smooth it made my skin feel after leaving it on for 20 minutes.

Tony Moly I’m Pearl Luminating Sheet Mask

The Luminating Pearl Mask really fascinated me as I was really curious about the idea of using “pearl extract” for a glowing complexion. This mask works wonders for leaving your skin looking clear and glowy while also leaving it feeling soft and illuminated.

Too Cool For School Coconut Oil Serum Eye Patch

beauty3

I don’t know about you but whenever I’m in college there are countless times throughout the semester where I have to pull an all-nighter just to get my work done on time, so having some moisturising eye patches at my disposal is a necessity for me. These ones are by Too Cool For School and are loaded with coconut oil so they are great for preventing wrinkles and reducing eye bags. These are just perfect for me because they are so quick and simple to use and they are perfect for getting rid of that nasty dry feeling under your eyes.

Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb

beauty7

I discovered the brand Belif not too long ago when I was browsing the Korean beauty section in Sephora. This daily moisturiser worked really well for me as it increases the hydration level of your skin by 70% and keeps skin feeling fresh and nourished throughout the day. My only problem with it though is that even though it’s an amazing product, it definitely didn’t last as long as I would have hoped. I was using the 25ml pot daily and nightly for just over two weeks before it ran out. If you can afford to constantly replace your moisturiser (or opt for the bigger pot) I would highly recommend going for this because the results were just amazing, though personally I think I would hesitate before buying it again just for the fact that it didn’t last too long.

Too Cool For School Coconut Sugar Face Scrub

beauty5

If you’ve been on our blog for a while now then you’d know that I’m a huge fan of Too Cool For School products. This coconut facial scrub uses all natural exfoliants to buff away dead skin cells meaning that no plastics or synthetic materials are being used on the skin. The fact that the mask is largely composed of coconut sugar and coconut extract means that the scrub is naturally dense in vitamins and minerals such as amino acids, magnesium and potassium which do wonders for your skin.

Overall this mask is very soothing as it gently warms your skin as you exfoliate so it’s really soothing and relaxing to use. A definite must-try!

Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara

beauty8

Bloggers and YouTubers alike love to gush over this mascara but trust me there is so much more to it than just cute packaging and a salty name. This mascara is probably one of the best I’ve ever used, not gonna lie. It wears perfectly throughout the day and the thick brush means that it’s great for building volume. Plus this is one of the few waterproof mascaras that has ever really worked for me. Because I wear contact lenses and my eyes tear up like crazy, being guaranteed that I won’t be looking like a panda by the end of the day is just so important to me. My one piece of advice however is to just make sure you have a good eye makeup remover before using this!

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner

beauty2

And my final beauty essential is of course my Kat Von D Tattoo Liner. It’s pretty rare you’d see me leaving the house without this trusty bad boy. I basically wear it every single day and feel naked without it. 99% of the time it works great as a waterproof eyeliner but on rare occasions it does smudge if my contact lenses are giving me grief. What I love about it is the fact that it keeps its pigment all day and gives every makeup look that edgy finishing touch. It’s also a pretty difficult eyeliner to make budge too.

So these are my top beauty picks from Sephora for the month. Have you guys used any of these products before or are there any here that you’d like to try? I’d love if you’d let me know in the comments below. Thank you guys so much for reading and I’ll see you very soon in our next post!

I got a sample size of that Belif product in a VoxBox recently, along with the jelly overnight mask (full size) and my boyfriend & I are loving both of them! Also, I’m putting that liner on my birthday list- I kept putting off buying it for myself haha
