Christmas Wishes from Paris

Christmas Time in Paris

xmas

Hello my lovelies! I hope you are all doing well and that you’ve all had/are having a lovely Christmas. Right now it’s St Stephen’s Day in Ireland which in our family and in many households is basically like a second Christmas where we eat turkey and ham, drink bottomless glasses of prosecco and eat as many sweets, chocolates and truffles as the eye can see.

As you probably know from my latest vlog, recently I went out to shoot this outfit in Paris before I left the city to return to Ireland for the new year. I know I’ve worn this jumper countless times on my blog but honestly, my love affair with the cashmere sweaters from Hades is never ending. Since 2018 begun I’ve slowly been moving away from fast fashion brands and shopping more for quality pieces that I know are going to last me a lifetime. Honestly I am obsessed with how festive these photos turned out and I can’t wait to share them with you in today’s post.

When it comes to quality, there’s something that is so comforting about cashmere. From the natural softness of the fabric to the versatility of its simple nature, there are so many ways to snuggle up in a sweater like this especially when the December weather comes our way. Honestly, I’ve been wearing this sweater all over Christmas and I love the chic, parisien vibes that it gives off when paired with these blue jeans and a beret. A basic, thin sweater is something that is a key piece in my wardrobe because it will always be such an easy piece to style no matter what the occasion.

The first place I went to in Paris was the Place Vendôme which is honestly one of my favourite places to wander around at Christmastime. The decorations are always so beautiful and there is nothing like checking out the jewellery in the windows of the Dior, Chanel and Louis Vuitton boutiques. I’ve always dreamed of being able to buy something from a store here because this area is just so iconic of Paris.

Of course I couldn’t leave the city without taking one last look at the Arc de Triomphe. Like I mentioned in the video, it’s been over an entire year now that I’ve been living in Paris and running my fashion blog but I never got the chance to take a photo here, even if it is one of the most famous monuments in the city. It honestly felt so great being able to check that off of my bucket list before flying home!

And that’s it for today’s look. It’s so festive that I even blend in with the toy soldiers below! Honestly I’m pretty sad that Christmas day is over and done with but that doesn’t mean I won’t still be in the festive mood until I am ringing in the new year in January. Do you guys have anything planned? I’d love to hear all about it in the comments below!

By the way, don’t forget to check out the vlog I made here. My goal for 2019 is to start uploading regularly.

Thank you guys so much for reading and I’ll see you very soon in my next post!
