My Current Fragrance

Hey everyone! It’s been a while since we last saw each other on here because I’ve been so preoccupied with YouTube lately but today I am back on the blog with a little perfume related post for you all. Recently I’ve been doing so many shoots in Paris and have had very little time to update you. It’s crazy being a college student here and running my blog because I meet so many people in my daily life who are artists, models, designers and photographers and often we all end up acting on impulse as we stage some impromptu shoots around the city.

The fast pace of my life lately got me thinking about a lot of things, for instance who doesn’t love a moment of spontaneity and of sensuality? Life in Paris is all about acting in the moment as well as the fleeting moments in time that make life beautiful; the view from the Pont de Bir-Hakeim of the Eiffel Tower as the metro passes over the line 6, a café noisette, a designer dress in a shop window, the fresh flowers in the park, not to mention capturing the subtle scent of a perfume as you pass a parisienne in the street.

When I first came to Paris I was so mystified by the allure of the parisian girls because their charm struck me as something that had been carved out over centuries of experiencing the culture that thrives in this city. With Paris being the home to most of the top names in fashion and beauty in the world it only makes sense that the girls here would radiate a certain kind of attitude and what better way to accentuate your ferociousness than with a perfume?

When it comes to perfume I’ve always been drawn to light, floral tones that you would commonly come across in french brands such as Diptyque and Guerlain  but this one from Lolita Lempicka arouses the more empowered female side to my personality which is a side of myself that I definitely picked up since living as a young woman alone in the city. It’s a scent that is feminine, temping and seductive all at once and a fragrance that although light, exudes confidence.

The overall scent of the perfume is rich in notes of lemon, apricot and black cherry making for both a fruity and citrusy aroma. The base notes play on the softness and freshness of violet combined with the a soft hue of incense.  As far as perfume goes, it is a rather sweet and young scent however there is something very womanly to it at the same time.

Just look at the design of the bottle and tell me that you don’t fall under the spell of its elegance. Honestly I fell hard for the gold leaves that decorate the design on the bottle. Even displaying this on my vanity is enough to make me feel like a complete woman who is ready to take on the world because there is nothing like a good eau de parfum to boost your confidence every now and again.

When it comes to perfume for me, the most important thing is to find a fragrance that matches your personality. For me the premier parfum strikes the perfect balance between luxurious and edgy because it has just the right amount of sharpness in its notes.

My top tips for applying perfume are to apply to the inside of the wrist and elbow, behind the ears and to spray a light cloud over the hair. I personally avoid using it on my face and neck because these areas tend to be the first on the body to show signs of ageing. As perfume is largely composed of alcohol and agents that can be quite drying to the skin, it’s best to avoid sensitive areas or areas that get a lot of exposure to the sun.

And that’s it for this little perfume post! Do you guys have a go-to fragrance? I’d love to hear all about it in the comments below.

That’s all from me for now. Thank you so much for reading and I’ll see you very soon in our next post!
