How I’m Caring For My Skin
2019 is really the year of my life where I try to improve my skincare regime. I’ve said it many times here on LaDameWhoFellToEarth but beauty in France really is epidermal. Nobody really bats an eye too much at your makeup because we all know that it’s what underneath that matters. I’ve always been a huge advocate of fashion and my wardrobe contains a plethora of fabrics from corduroy to cashmere but of all the precious fabrics that I love, my skin is the one that I’m going to wear for the rest of my days so it’s why I’m so enthusiastic to take the best care of it that I can. Now that I’m 22 and I’m getting older, I realise more and more the importance of taking care of it.
Lately, I’ve really been loving the brand Fresh, especially for my super sensitive skin. If you’re looking for something gentle for acne prone skin or you are quite prone to dryness then I would highly recommend giving them a go. The cleanser has helped so much with my problem skin all throughout the month and I can’t express how much I’ve been loving it! In this post I’m going to be reviewing both the Fresh Soy Cleanser and Rose Deep Hydration Face Cream. Both of these products have become an essential part of my beauty regime since the year began and I honestly love the difference in the softness of my skin that they have made. I just had to share them for that!
My Current Must-Haves
Hey everyone! I’m finally back in Paris after my trip to Portugal and back to the grind again. Now that summer is drawing to a close I can’t help but wish these long days of freedom could just last forever. I’ve been having a hard time accepting that the back to school season has already started up for so many of you and next week it will finally be my turn to take up my studies again too. That being said though, I’ve been having a lot of fun doing some last minute back to school shopping, especially where beauty is concerned. Today I thought I’d share my top beauty picks from Sephora with you guys. While most of them fall into the category of Korean skincare (surprise, surprise) I did throw a few makeup favourites in there too! Let’s start.
For Younger, Plumper, Healthier Skin
As the largest organ in the body and the window to all that is happening to our health on the inside, it’s no wonder why beauty has always been so strongly linked to healthy skin.
When I first entered the world of Korean beauty, it was really a breath of fresh air for my skin. These beauty brands really spoil us for choice and there’s so many high tech treatments and masks available that you just don’t see in the Western World.
While it did take me some time to get used to Korean beauty products and the way each product should be used in your regime, I feel like I have finally unlocked the perfect skincare routine to counter the effects of my busy life here in Paris. Here are some of my favourite products that I’ve used to date.
What I Bought In The Sales
Now that the January sales are in full here swing in Paris, I really couldn’t wait to show you guys some new skin care products and makeup that I recently got to try. If you follow me over on my Instagram then you’ve probably already heard some of my thoughts on these through my vlogs. However today I thought I’d write a blogpost so that I could talk to you about these in a little more detail.
A Post All About Sheet Masks
As many of you know I recently moved from Ireland to France and ever since I first landed in Paris I’ve been utterly enamoured with the influence of the beauty industry over here. It seems as if everywhere you turn there’s a Dior or a Chanel counter to be found, and better yet, there’s a Sephora around almost every corner. Now don’t ask me why we don’t have this beauty-haven of a franchise over in Ireland. It just never came our way for whatever reason, so you can only imagine my delight going in to spend my time scouring the beauty counters for the big brands that are often hard to stumble upon back home.
Of course I went a little crazy when I saw that Sephora had their own line of sheet masks available so today I thought I would grab a few to try out and share my thoughts on them with you. Now I know I’m probably a little late to the party here, but as I said, these masks just don’t exist over in Ireland so I was really curious to see what they would be like. Read More
